Neuroscience informed Coaching

As a Coach, my mission is to help you to take action towards your big or smaller goals, support you through wanted or unwanted change in your life, and create space for your self-growth and self-development.

As a Neuroscience informed Coach, I do the above by purposefully including your brain and your nervous system in the process.

Your brain and your nervous system are at the centre of all of your experiences. To not work with them is to lose a huge potential for relief-giving awareness and insight, which will change the way you feel, think, and take action in a lasting way.

  • A coaching and a therapy session might feel very similar. Both create a safe space for you to explore your emotion, thought, and behaviour patterns.

    A coach, similarly to a therapist, won’t give you advise or tell you what to do. They will support you to discover what is best for your unique situation.

    Generally, coaching is more goal oriented than therapy. It is designed to help you move forward and implement change. A coaching process usually lasts a few months, whereas a therapy process usually lasts longer.

    Coaching, in contrast to therapy, is not designed to treat trauma or mental health diagnosis. However, many coaches are mental health and trauma aware, and can help you manage your mental health related daily life challenges.

  • My coaching is based in neuroscience, but fully focused on you. During the sessions we will partner to move you towards whatever change you are looking to make.

    With your permission, I will introduce information and techniques informed by neuroscience, to include your brain and your nervous system in the process.

    Stress and fear are a natural response of the brain to change and to new situations.

    Working with that in mind can open opportunities for change in a way that is less frustrating and create space for a new found self-compassion.
